Vinicius Jr Issues Sincere Sorry to Los Blancos Supporters
The attacker has scored five strikes in 10 domestic competition matches so far this term.
Los Merengues attacker Vinicius Jr has expressed regret to the fanbase for his reaction when taken off in Sunday's heated match against Barcelona victory.
He was taken off in the second half and expressed his frustration by going straight off the pitch.
He subsequently came back to the dugout and, following his side's 2-1 win, sought to engage the opposition's youngster Yamal during unpleasant after the game scenes.
"Today I want to apologise to all the Real Madrid fans for my reaction when I was taken off in the derby," the player posted on X.
"Similarly to I have said in person during this morning's practice, I would like to say sorry once more to my teammates, the team, and the club president.
"Sometimes emotion overcomes me because I constantly desire to succeed and assist my side. My winning mentality stems from the affection I have for this institution and each thing it symbolizes."
Vinicius moved to the Spanish capital from Flamengo in 2018 for £38.7m and has notched over a century of strikes in numerous matches.
But his career in the Spanish capital is uncertain with rumors in the past few months suggesting that Los Blancos would contemplate allowing the young star depart if they obtained a good proposal.
When the winger was taken off on the match day, cameras from broadcaster the platform recorded him stating: "Always me! I'm exiting the club! It's better if I depart, I'm moving on."
