Chopper Spirals Wildly into Palm Trees at Popular California Shoreline
A chopper flying above a well-attended southern California beach unexpectedly began spiraling out of control, ultimately losing altitude and plunging into a row of palm fronds as spectators watched.
Footage posted on the internet capture the aircraft starting to spin near the beach then plunging towards the border of the shore, where it gets stuck between palm groves and a set of stairs near the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Update
Emergency responders stated five people were transported to a medical facility involving two individuals who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” following the incident on the weekend.
Three individuals on the street were injured. Information on their wounds were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was not immediately released.

Officials said the aircraft was connected to an regular “Cars N Copters” charity gathering planned for Sunday.
